The Increasing Panerai-zation of Tudor & The Heritage Black Bay Bronze
Now I am not saying it in a super negative way because it looks to be paying dividends for Tudor and it's going down a path that Rolex won't (or has not as yet). so what is panerai-zation? milking the historical models, the back catalogues and mixing stuff up like rojak and coming out with at times wonderful pieces and at times very much the same ol same ol kinda watch. Tudor so far has been doing it tastefully and I do look forward to more interesting takes on pieces or bits and pieces here and there from it's past into it's modern range. this bronze piece is a cool looking piece for sure... i'll be green with envy when i see it on another's wrist (see what i did there? :)

This piece inherits the most characteristic elements from Tudor's eloquent history in dive watches: the domed crystal, the prominent winding crown from the 1958 model, dubbed Big Crown, the angular "snowflake" hands from the 1970s, and the beige woven jacquard strap, a nod to the French sailors who made their own straps from elastic recovered from rescue parachutes. The bronze case is a reminder of the bronze used for the helmets in the heroic early days of diving. Add to this a mechanical automatic movement with COSC chronometer certification, - developed, manufactured and assembled in-house – and there can be no doubting that this new Black Bay Bronze will become a partner for life, slowly developing a unique patina over time to match its owner's lifestyle.
